I have been on this page for identifying mystery frames and components for a wee while, but never really engaged with it.

Anyway, there was a post today asking about a 'Pantograph' on a bike, so I was quite confused.
Now, to me, the term 'Pantograph' means a sprung arm or mechanism.

Turns out, they were actually talking of a pattern on the surface of the bike, made in the process of 'Pantographing', a term I have never heard before (actually, I now think I have, but had forgotten).

So, I ask what is meant by it and my goodness, I've had some rather snotty replies back.
Yes, ok, I should have looked it up, I accept that, but this was before the term 'Pantographed' came up in the comments section.

Anyway, if anyone is on that page, are they always like that?

I had a thing with someone a few days ago when I pointed out a fact he didn't like
apparently I am "another blooming (not the word he used" English Teacher
and am also a left wing extremist

if you go on the thing you have to expect them sometimes

Actually, one guy was really helpful, but one or two others were just... Erm...

Anyway, I've gone back and read it again and I think I've explained myself quite well. I think.
