Cycling has kept me out of the NHS for health reasons. I am A1.. But it cost them lots of dosh to fix my shoulder after I got run over by an idiot in a car, and I'm still visiting about a recent 'op' thats probably agitated by being fit and active. You can't win.
I can't really fault the NHS, they are under funded, even in a childrens unit. Some of the stuff they have for the kids ( e.g. ipads, Wii etc, toys, are all funded by donations- these aren't dished out, they are given to the kids to use for a few hours after things like blood tests, cannulas etc. horrible stuff for a child to have done.)
