When I was learning to drive the instructor would not overide my steering unless it was a safety issue. In this case there was no danger.

Unfortunately the only illegal manoeuvre, that of using a lane for buses, cycles and taxis, does not appear in the video, which makes it rather pointless.

And why the comment about the oncoming cyclist? If it was close enough that the car should have given way to it then surely the following bike should also have given way?

Most poor driving I've seen by driving instructors has been when they've not been in the company of a learner. I've seen several driving around with a mobile phone clamped to their ear. Great advert for the company - whose name is usually to be found in bold letters somewhere on the car. What are they thinking?

The biscuit goes to a BSM driver who I caught reversing from a side road out into a main road whilst (quite obviously) intently involved in a telephone conversation on his mobile.

If only I'd had the cam..........
