I know there's a lot we don't know but "His bike collided with a car " just seems an odd expression imo.

This road is a main daily commute route for me.

Hope the fella is ok and the scum that drove off caught.

That is just “normal” reporting, but as he did a runner maybe it should have been written motorist hits cyclist
I do hope he is going to be all right.

Read the news report. I'd suggest they wrote it like that as they want the driver to come forward. It's just factual. So tragic.

It was horrible riding past where it happened this morning. There was still blood staining/sand on the pavement.
