.....cos there's a hell of a lot of them about.
Today I've had three people pull out of a side street in front of me, all looking me in the eye as they did it, and one flicking the Vs for good measure. And then last week, sat at a roundabout on the front of the queue and the dozy bint behind sees a gap in the traffic, and drives straight into the back of me.
It can't be the heat cos we haven't got any, so what's going on?

Every week is f**kwit week round here, I just accept dealing with them as one of the joys of being a cyclist now... It does have the occasional highlight, just when you think you've seen humanity's maximum capacity for stupidity, there's always someone capable of pushing the bar a little higher

I just had a driver clip me with their mirror attempting to overtake me over double white lines in a 20mph limit while I was going around a blind bend uphill, overtaking another cyclist myself, and with an oncoming car coming down the hill.

Luckily they were only going about 10mph so didn't hurt or knock me off but was forceful enough to knock their mirror back. And the twit didn't even stop and sped off at way more than 20mph.

Personal favourite of mine is the mini roundabout at the end of my road I always seem to get over taken less than a metre from it I love it whens theres alot of traffic held up there I just filter past everyone find the person that over took me and sit in front of them. If they have made a dangerous over take I take my times sitting in front of them. I also take my time going round the round a bout, I am going to invest in a camera has I have had enough

Probably.

Saw not one, not two but three illegal offroad motorcyclists on a recent trek. Strangely for offroading on a track one of them was on a commuting moped

There's been a definite increase in SMIDGAFs (presumably from frustrated parents stuck with the kids through the holidays), but overall I've found the roads to be far more relaxed without all the school-run traffic. I guess it depends what time of day you're riding.

I've played chicken with two buses and a nice lass in a Vauxhall Corsa that doesn't know which side of the road she should be on...

She got stuck behind a bin lorry... that made my day

Today has been the worst day that I've had in my two weeks of commuting. 3 or 4 in-duh-viduals making eye-contact right before deciding that I'm not going fast enough to bother waiting for. Left a long train of rubber behind at one point when laughing boy in a Clio decided that it was more important to cross in front of me to get into the garage for fuel, rather than waiting another 4 seconds or so for the big empty gap behind me.

Back to work yesterday after 2 weeks off I have had 2 pull-outs already, both in broad daylight with nothing blocking the drivers view of me either time, no apologies either after my frantic braking and then arm waving at them

Think I'll go back to the 'Oi idiot' type response

i think it must be, some idiot in a facny sporty mercedes (can you tell i don't know much about cars) over-took me this morning by just enough so he could slow down abruptly and swerve left into a parking space. all without indicating. i nearly rode into the back of him.

infuriating and pretty dangerous. i told him he could have killed me even though we weren't really going fast enough.

Yup- nearly taken out by huge Mercedes driven by a 'pearls & twinset' psycho- on the wrong side of the road... She looked at me as though I'd asked her for a date... I simply said loudly in my poshest middle class accent "We drive on the left in Swindon, madam" - this was met with more psychotic staring & she was gone in a whiff of sickly perfume... Yes I was that close...
