Is it really worth commuting in heavy rain?

I got drenched yesterday morning, but luckily at work I have a shower room with a very hot radiator so normally have all my kit dried in a few hours. Carry all my gear in dry bags inside a rucksack with a pack cover over the top.

Another weather warning issued for heavy rain this afternoon.... looks like the "just dry" kit will get another soaking on the way home .... Geeso
Left work at 6.30, only a wee drizzle. This morning it rained on me until halfway through the commute, so all in all did not get wet ^_^

probably helps my helmet doesn't have air holes in it though!

I use a sort of skateboard designed helmet with very few holes: used over a normal winter hat keeps your head warm and dry.

On the plus side cheapo Lidl jacket i'm using the now holding up reasonably well.

Same here, water doesn't seem to penetrate it. I am feared of washing it, least the waterproof coating disappears!

I'm lucky, I have a drying room at work. Sometimes people get it mixed up with the forensics drying room next door, and I have murder offenders clothing on the hangar next to me, but as long as it dries eh? (joking)
Well it was murder riding in this morning, soaking wet with sweat after fighting the wind. Better on the way home, although it was raining:rain:
