So I went to Leeds on the lash with a group of friends, got absolutely trashed and then late on I face-planted the floor and ended up in A&E, where after getting bored of waiting I left without being seen.

So after getting home I find that my wife has taken a turn for the worse and is being admitted to hospital, so off I trot. Whilst there I take a turn for the worse and collapse, next thing I know is that I'm on a trolley and being wheeled into A&E. I get released 9 hours later after a brain scan, luckily I just have a minor concussion.

When the wife gets home no doubt she will have a go at me wondering when I'm going to grow up or at least drink a little more sensibly!

Didn't realise you were married. You sound about 17!

So, yes, give up getting wrecked, before the misses gives up on you!

Your choice. And don't take the 17-year-old's option.

If you can't drink responsibly, then in an ideal world, you shouldn't be drinking at all.

I don't drink at all, for that very reason (amongst others).

Out getting drunk whilst your wife is unwell? I've have put my husband in a&e myself if he'd done that to me.
She wasn't unwell when I left

My advice is to get the Mods to delete this thread. However you tell this story, you don't come out of it well.

I hope your wife is getting better.
I know I'm not coming out of this well, I didn't expect to. I know drinking to the point of ending up in A&E is not good.

Thank you, she seems to be.
