Its not that late.

Looks like damage to the forks in the picture, just below the steerer tube.

not sure if this isn't just the angle the forks are at? could be they are fubared though hopefully not

indeed, i mean especially if it is time to almost get up again it's not worth going to bed surely?

You'd have thought he'd finish it at least!

once he has finished it he then needs to take it for a good test ride of minimum 30-50 miles remember

Have looked at the forks and cannot see any damage, but it does look odd in that pic.
