Thank you! I've ordered the mudguards as they were in the ebc sale and they've said they will fit before posting the bike (to save me a job!) which is a bonus as well.

As mentioned by Vickster, the Ribble Winter Bikes are good. If you don't want a blue or black Ribble, most LBS and Dolan, have the exact same frame you can custom build. It's not much different from the Pearson fixed wheel frame, which is what my LBS sells under their own name and I have one. My LBS's winter bike is probably the same as the Ribble too, but in any colour you want.

Other choice is Kinesis, cracking frames.

I'm surprised this is the only vote for Kinesis.

I've got a TK, spot on for all round use.

 The way that's loaded it looks like you'd fall off backwards if you sat up straight.

My bikes:
Sunday bike - never sees a wet road: TCR Advanced SL - superb
Everyday/Audax bike: Charge Juicer - full mudguards, upgraded wheels (RS 80s)- amazingly comfy, quick, lightish all weather bike .
Exploring bike:,Specialized Crux - off road, trails, winter salted roads.
Turbo bike: Focus Summit - cheap and cheerful.
All the above set up to the exact same measurements with SLR saddles.
Visitor bike: Kona Smoke - bought for very little online and upgraded with better bits from the parts bin. Compact frame means that different heights of rider can be accommodated.

Fantastic arrangement you have Albert! Buying and selling the Cx bike has really taught me a lot more about Geometry and what suits me so to hear your bikes are all the same measurements and with the same saddle really shows how much time and money you've spent getting bikes that suit you.
