One thing I've learned in life is that you never know what tomorrow may bring. I have been worried at work for a couple of weeks thanks to four export customers (Sudan, Zambia, Ghana and Liberia, not countries renowned for honesty) owing the company around $322,000 for business I agreed to conduct on credit terms having judged that the individuals wouldn't let me down.

Suddenly this morning three are resolved, what a relief!

Bogger it...went to see the bosses the other day and 'suggested' forcefully i finish work at 5pm each day (unless there are problems that require my presence) and i dont want to be put down for Sunday working unless absolutely neccessary.

Good on you. I had a job for ages that took over my home life, even when at home the phone might go or I was just too tired from the overtime and rough hours. Since I've changed job to a 37 hour a week job I've a much better quality of life. IMO, work is important, but not a be all and end all like some bosses would have you think.
