I wondered if the collective of tech savvy folks of this parish may have any ideas...
We've got a 10 year old LG LCD TV which is hooked up to a digital aerial, a Sky HD box (yes, yes I know), and a DVD player.
We have some scaffolding up at the moment, but until today, reception on all has been fine - no one has done any work outside for 2 days.
Now we have ghosting and 'blocky' pictures, which look like huge, rubbish pixels. At first I assumed either the dish had been knocked, or it was atmospherics. Did the usual - unplug etc. No improvement.
Switched to the digital aerial - ah, same problem (and the aerial is way above the scaffolding).
Finally tried to play a DVD. Bugger. The same poor picture quality...
It may sound like a dim question, but I'm now thinking the TV is knackered.
I've tried retuning etc, same problem.
Is my TV toast do you reckon? Any ideas before I reach for my wallet?
Ta all...
