I voted no, but it's difficult to tell as there aren't many good sprinters around at the mo and you can't test him against Cipo and Abdou etc

No, I don't think he is. Someone on another thread said he was the most successful British cyclist ever, which might not be that far from the truth (if we ignore Beryl Burton). Imagine the overrating he would get if cycling were as popular as tennis (Andy Murray anyone?) or football (any of our brave boys since 1966). And he's probably more highly rated outside the UK than inside it.

He's still a bit of an arse though.

In the TV interviews he's been doing recently he has been diplomacy, deference and modesty all the way up from his shiny shoes to his manicured barnet. Not the arsey-mouthed flash git of yesteryear.

I think he is the business at the moment. No one can touch him right now, but he does get a bloody good train into the finish so its not only down to him.

It's a bit difficult to say how good he is - depending on how you rate the opposition - but he has taken on a big workload over the last two years and only rarely been found wanting.

Barnet,
You can only be overated if your reputation precedes you and your not doing very well. Cav is doing very well, 2nd stage win today. I rest my case.
