Is the Greek Island of Evia an alternate cycling holiday destination?

I have not only heard of it, but also been on Evia
Beautiful island, a short train journey from Athens. The island is linked to the mainland by a short bridge, so no ferries to take.
I was not cycling then, but seem to remember the island is not very hilly.
Good luck in your new venture.

Yes I've heard of Evia.
Interesting. Already booked this years cycling holiday to Spain, but Greece interests me. So perhaps 2017.

Ive cycled from Marmari in the south to Agiokampos in the North - Pleasant enough - A lot of Olive groves - Chalcis (Chalkia on European maps) was interesting particularly around the bridge area

Thanks for the best wishes.

I guess "hilliness" depends on your perspective. The island has a spine of mountains so if you cross from one side to the other you have some pretty big hills to cross. If you stay near the coasts then yes, it is flatter ;-)

Hi all, we have updated our website with more cycling related photos fresh from the easter weekend. Please take a look and you can judge the hilliness for yourselves :-)
