Good day for me today. Jumped from 8th in the cyclechat league to 4th. And from 5000 to 2940 in the overall.

I have 4 of today's top 11, including the winner.

But I am current dead bottom in the ToB cyclechat league. Much more my style.

Fairly small sample size for that league though with only 8 teams. I'm decidedly middle table in 5th... In the Vuelta I'm podium though :becool:

Bloody Bramble Wheelers though. They always seem to have almost the same as my team, just significantly better.

I take comfort that my miserable 104 points in the ToB yesterday was still better than 370 players in Velogames, and that one of them is in the Cyclechatting league. Step forward Alex H, of the no_hopers_jokers_and_rogues team, I'm not sure I've ever seen a team score as low as 18 points for a stage that wasn't cancelled!

Also, I had a decent day in the Vuelta, where I consolidated my podium place and made up some ground on @Mike_P's Bramble Wheelers and Hasbeen's (whodat?) Pastit.

The difference between Bora - Horza Gobuchul and Bramble Wheelers will be interesting, as it hinges on just four riders on each team.
Can Mads P, SKA, Fortunato and Beloki claw back 276 points on Ciccone, Verona, Pidcock and C Garcia Piena (oops, he's abandoned)?

I think only Mads P can save me now if Pidcock continues his strong showing - and of the Lidl-Trek riders the rest of the Vuelta must favour Ciccone

The first two stages weren't much better, each being 22 points.

86 points behind the 2nd to last team after 3 stages.

Doing rather better in the Vuelta game, at 6th out of 25 in the league

I'm rather pleased with my random 6 point rider from Flanders Baloise, Tom "Buster" Crabbé who I picked on the basis of his name alone. He has picked up a 2nd and an 8th place so far.

Unfortunately I'm less pleased with the rest of my team. I suppose I shouldn't have been taken by surprise by the nature of the route and the lack of selective HC climbs in Suffolk.

Sorry to break it to you, but you were 86 points behind the second to last team on stage 3 (it was me).
You're a magnificent 453 behind the second to last team overall.

Your man Crabbé has done well, but my 4 point rider Josh "Oh golly" Golliker is in the break again today and there are plenty of mountain points to be had

Redemption for me on Stage 6

But Tragedy in the end of race points

(I need to read the rules better - Tao's final 117th place on GC was worth 65 points - that's five points more than Koij got for winning the points jersey!)

Final third from bottom, I just snuck past DCI Barnaby's Midsomer Wheelers. Thankfully it was Barnaby not Columbo, or he'd be calling me back with "just one last thing.."

Congrats to Archie!
