Is this a close pass

The fact he thought driving in the cycle lane was fine proves he was an idiot! Can't comment on how close the pass was though as don't know the width of you and/or the bike!

Yes, that's a close pass! No doubt he was "confused" by the narrow traffic lane and widish cycle lane!

This is one of the reasons I don't want to record my bike rides.

I think I'd be retrospectively horrified by other drivers actions, and probably by the risks I take cycling.

If he didn't catch your peddle in his wheelarch it doesn't count as a close pass

on that section of road i try to ride in the main lane not the cycle lane as it is a doorzone just before the corner. as I go round the corner i try and move into the cycle lane area before going round the Lefthander.

Ooh Leyton. Know it well.

Looks like a stupid place to overtake and a bit close. I assume he ended up waiting at the lights further down the road?

The one way street has recently been "improved" by narrowing the carriageway and putting a cycle lane right in the doorzone. Which means either you take primary and get idiots like this revving and beeping you or you go in the cycle lane hoping you don't get doored which driver close pass. I admire your primary stance, I normally give up half way down.

The other improvements are raising the level of the road by an inch or so and putting in pavement parking all the way down. Oh, and some fancy street lights.

All this cost £0.5M
