When I bought my MTB, I didn't care at all about wheel size. I just wanted relatively inexpensive, with shimano hydro brakes. It just so happened that a 29er fitted those requirements, but I really didn't care. This is it, I know nothing about mtb spec, even less about Sram stuff.
Also the fact it has 26" wheels when I keep seeing 29'ers everywhere.
They are off already, plus the set of lights that came with it, saved 100gTake those wheel reflectors off.
Nothing too extreme, mainly the muddy/rough trails locally, should be comfier and more planted than my CX bike. What plans have you got for it?
The saddle has now been raised by at least 1/2 an inch,Wow looking at the saddle height etc I now see why you are sticking with 26" wheels, surprised you didn't also consider:-
