Is this a good choice for a first mtb?

You'll be contemplating a fixie next:rolleyes:

Slippery slope.
Well nearly a year on and I still haven't bought it yet, and worst of all I am now considering a new bike on C2W instead which just happens to be a fixie

Well...

18 months of deliberation and I finally got a mtb, the one I originally wanted had by now been replaced (in name only looking at the spec) and was still the same price at £900.
They then brought out a 'special edition' with a funkier blue paint job and a dropper seatpost, then handily dropped the price of both by over £200, so I bought one.

Delighted with the spec for £680, Mavic wheels, Sram drivetrain, Avid brakes, well worth it imo even though it still has the fork on back to front

Now to get it dirty..^_^

I do like that from a looks point of view, especially the colour! I don't know enough about mountain bikes to comment on the rest..... But I've enjoyed the two times I've tried it this year so I may need to find out more:thumbsup:

Great value for money and the colour scheme is lovely too.

I wish I could spend 18 months deliberating, it would save me a fortune.

What plans have you got for it?

This is it, I know nothing about mtb spec, even less about Sram stuff.
Also the fact it has 26" wheels when I keep seeing 29'ers everywhere.
When I bought my MTB, I didn't care at all about wheel size. I just wanted relatively inexpensive, with shimano hydro brakes. It just so happened that a 29er fitted those requirements, but I really didn't care.

It's the way you ride it, not what you ride (within reason).

Take those wheel reflectors off.
They are off already, plus the set of lights that came with it, saved 100g
