Is this a solid axle for a 130mm wheel?

I could be wrong but I think it may be a bit on the narrow side. You would need to clarify if he is measuring the axle end to end. The 130mm you need fits between the drop outs. You need to allow another inch or to allow for the thickness of the frame plus the axles nuts on the outside to hold it in the bike.

5.5" is 140mm. It is too short - it would bearly clear the dropouts on 130mm OLN, but would make a nice front axle.
