Doesn't look like it compacts very well if the second image is the extent of how well it stacks. Might be worth considering whether you really need the kettle in the interest of saving space and weight. Trangia do much more compact versions.

That said, spirit burners are so simple I'm sure the cheaper models would work fine.

It's for youngest's Duke of Edinborough's expeditions, so will probably only be used a few times. As for the pans, well I guess that they can't go wrong notwithstanding the lack of teflon available on some of the trangias. The only moving parts are the folding pan clips, so I'd best see if these are adequate before deciding whether to buy. That and the nesting efficiency.
