Ultimately, the market sets the price that something is worth, not the opinion of anyone else. There is no such thing as underselling in an auction, so long as the seller doesn't make stupid mistakes in their description that put off potential buyers. You can undersell a Buy It Now listing, but in an auction even if you have a 99p start, so long as the auction runs the full term, then the outcome is the value of the bike on that day to the bidders who were bidding.
