On another note.. why filter in front of this driver? Even if he hadn't blocked the ASL it is of little advantage to put your self in front of a single car.

I would have done the same - just to make the point that using the ASL does not give you an advantage - especially where I think the guy is just trying to jump the queue.

I don't think so in this case. Pretty clear the driver knows the road and is undertaking the queue. Potentially the road goes back to 1 lane a bit further on?

Although round my way, most folk that do it aren't ignorant they are using them to cut the queue or make sure the cyclist doesn't get in front; black cabs are the biggest offenders and they should know the rules of the road. I'd just rather not have the muppet behind me.

Could be a black number plate fixing making it look different. I have no idea on the law on that, I suppose it's a good excuse if you get pulled over. Would it be hard to work out?
