Is this okay?

Okay, so I decided today that I needed a pannier rack. After a couple of attempts trying to fit it, going back to the shop for some longer bolts (free of charge, lovely folk), and then a couple more attempts trying to fit it... it's finally on. Nice and sturdy-like. However I'm a touch concerned.

Focus your eyes on this:



The long metal... things (I assume that's the official name) had to be forced somewhat downwards to reach the bolts on the seat stays. I'm ever so slightly worried that this will be putting undue pressure on my lovely new frame.

If ye wise folk could dispel this fear of mine with all your knowledge, that'd be great.

The two metal straps are meant to bend like that and they certainly aren't going to damage the frame in any way at all.

Wonderful news. I would have assumed they were meant to bend, but my irrational mind got the better of me this time.

slightly, not a lot.

It's more that they're designed to bend.
