People have told me that this is ok. I'm concerned that the load of the clamp and my body weight is not spread evenly and although it maybe acceptable in terms of risk, is it to some of you guys with more experience? Clamping to doesn't close the gap of course. I'm in no rush because the wheels haven't even shipped yet so I have time to send them back. If you see it as okay can you explain to me why all the pressure on two small points is not a problem. I'd appreciate it.

Have you tried turning it 180⁰ to see if it fits snug?

Is it a new seat post and clamp, or have you been riding around on it for a while?
