Well, I'm a cat lover but I must admit I found it rather amusing, the cat looks so very surprised. I don't think there's any doubt the artist loved his cat and I don't think it's any worse than having him stuffed and using him as an ornament which I know some people do. I'm sure if he was looking down from cat heaven he would love the idea of flying with the birds (when they get him more than a couple of inches off the ground that is )

I've already told her (<<< see picture to the left) that she's going to be a nice comfy foot stool when she'd dead. Which could be pretty soon if she doesn't stop walking over the keyboard!

edit: re the above statement: my cat's just discovered what "F*** Off" means. So now she's sulking in the corner of the room.

No, that's what gave him the idea. He has a brother called Wilbur who is still alive... I think it's quirky and quite appropriate. Some of the comments I have read online on the story are hilarious, especially on the Daily Mail site, which included gems like "anyone who loves cats knows that they do not like being laughed at."

A part of me is almost phobic about dead things so that part makes me cringe.
The other part of me thinks 'His cat, his choice. The cat doesn't care.'

Have to agree with Night train on this one, it is just a bit creepy. Not that I think it's sick or anything, I just think its WRONG!

Maybe when my goldfish die I should make them into little bikes and get nominated for the Turner prize.....
