Hi,
I have an Optima Orca recumbent and am thinking about getting a the Thule Proride 591 cycle rack to mount it on my roof.

Q. Has anyone had experience of this rack , especially with a recumbent.

Thanks

You will need to try it!

I looked at something similar for my Street Machine, but found that the arm was too long to fit the frame

I couldn't find one that had an arm that was adjustable

Thanks Cunobelin

I'm hoping to do that, btw how do you carry the Street Machine ?

Thanks again

I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
I use the 591 racks for carrying all the familys bikes right down to the 5 yr olds 14" wheeled bike so it is quite flexible but as already suggested you will really need to try one to be sure. Will wheelbase be an issue?

Where do you live? There may be a forum member nearby that can let you try one?

Went to Halfords today, they hadn't got the Thule 591 but had got a Halford's own of the same type. So after confirming i could return it if it didn't fit I took that one.

Well it doesn't fit so it'll be going back. It also made me realise i don't like this type of rack so i'll be sticking to the rear mount i have.

I'll just have to slide the front boom in so i don't take down any road signs or innocent bystanders

Thanks for all your help guys
