I am new to this forum, but could be interested in this ride around the IOW this weekend.
I have not done any group rides, so not sure if I would be holding the pace up.
I did complete the London to Brighton on Sunday, and enjoyed that, and completed it under 5hrs, so maybe not the quickest but it was blockade after blockade.

Thank you for any advice or feedback

You most emphatically would not be holding us up!

Thank you

Remember no speeding on our shiny nearly new pier its 10MPH as measured by their speed averaging cameras and Wight Link get very angry if you break it.LOL

Oh dear. I'm am going to have to bail from my own ride. I pulled something in my lower leg while out running on Tuesday evening and from the feel of it y'day and this morning it isn't as trivial as I had hoped.

Sorry

Rotten luck Greg, hope it mends quickly.

Luck? No. Sheer stupidity. Mentalism on the weekend and then I allowed myself to be goaded into a 7km club handicap road running race in Tuesday night. AND I DIDN'T WARM UP. 200m in and the sharp stabbing pain should have made me stop but no, being a numptie, I continued for the next 6.8km and fell for the 'big finish'.

I need to remember I'm over 50 not 15

OK, who's still in...apart from me....?
I suggest that we stick with the previously agreed arrangements- departing 11am or so from Ryde Esplanade (if you're getting the train down to Pompey, you want Portsmouth Harbour station, the FastCat terminal is at the end of the platform), clockwise, lunch at Whitwell or Chale depending on the time and how people are feeling, tea stop (if we're so inclined)...somewhere.
Might be an idea for people to get each others' mobile numbers- PM me and I'll pass them around.
