Living Legend & Old Fart
One - Normally I 'tap' my back pockets shortly after leaving home to make sure that I have everything with me but today I forgot. I did 'tap' my pockets about 5 kms from home asnd the middle pocket was empty - that's mobile phone, case and gate key. Like other houses in this area, we have a large wall surrounding the property and a high double gate - we are further protected by a large dog who barks at everyoner who goes past. BTW, I have named that dog 'Alice' after my mum - they both hate me! Got home and found the key stilol in the lock and the phone & case still, attached!
Two - Had to go in the house so I took my helmet and shoes off. Back on the road again and felt a strange sensation - the wind in my hair - I'd forgot my helmet! Should I go back for it? I didn't.
Three - Decided to have a haircut at my local barber's on the way home but first, called into a petrol station for a drink. I did have my ATC5K camera in the hanmdle bar bag - haven't used it for months and fitted to the bike at the petrol station. Had my hair cut and rode home and it wwas there that I found the camera missing. It was securely attached to the Flymount bracketby the tripod screw, a velcro strap and a lasnyard. Had it fallen off? The velcro strip was opened. Opposite the barber's is a motor cycle taxi stand with two chaps in it - I remember saying "Good morning" to them in both Thai and English and their response was to look away, Could it havebeen one of them?

Well, that's my three out of the way for a while - touch wood!.

Hopefully not always. I left my camera on a ferry last month (Stena Line - they're completely unhelpful in looking for lost property).

Many thanks mr hippo for reminding me about my lost camera  .

I decided to make a final effort and email and several phone calls have resulted in me finding someone in lost property (via a security guard who got fed up with the phone ringing and answered it even though it wasn't his job..) ..and they have found my camera  ; it will be in tomorrow's post, express delivery.

I am sorry about your misfortune and hope you have some better luck too.
