Had a visit from the p******* fairy today - fortunately the inch long thorn that had wedged in the rear tyre sidewall didn't deflate until I pulled it out at home, so at least I could sort it in relative comfort.

I've since worked out that it is 23 years since I last had to fix a p******* - can anyone beat that remarkable gap..?
