Putting aside the vulgar amount of money someone has paid for it you have to admire the amout of work and that went into making it.

As an Engineer id like to think I have an appreciation of the mechanicals involved, but somehow i just feel it would be way beyond me ...

Fascinating.

I rather hope my missus paid less than that for the Patek Phillipe she bought me for my 40th birthday!

It is beautiful but I prefer my Casio G shock for when it comes to practicality.

the silver one

i find with the wrist watches the can end up rubbing on my skin and effectively chaffing regardless of the strap material but also when you do an everyday task such as dropping a shipping pallet on it or crushing it somewhere or knocking it rather hard against a tractor wing the glass ends up very scratched and/or smashed (i have destroyed wrist watches in all the listed ways and more )
also a pocket watch just makes you more 'dapper'!
Cheers Ed)

I've wrecked watches at work, but dropping a pallet on a wristwatch  how was the arm? And thats an everyday thing, are you Chuck Norris?

(Hang on, you can't be Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris doesn't have a watch, he decides what time it is.

What stunning thing. I wonder if the new owner will wear to go down to Tesco for a pint of milk and a kitkat.
