Loughborough 2010. Stu is a bit of a rotweiler when it comes to 'rucksack love'. I think @ianrauk and I guesstimated that there must have been a meteorite, club hammer, a litter of guard puppies and a small reservoir in the side pockets. Essential stuff for the journeyman voyager.

I have been told by an Italian that nobody dares steal anything in Italy as the Mafia look after everything. Nothing is ever vandalized either.
He/she is taking the piss out of you - playing to stereotypes - have you been to Italy?

have you seen the amount of graffiti?

And I know a place where cars set on fire in the streets of a night is positively routine - and you'd never guess from seeing it during the day.

One street away from the Duomo in any direction and you will see that is clearly not the case. Probably the most grafitti'd city I have ever seen (apart from some areas of Naples.)
