11 speed - if you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket go for it!

You clearly have no cash flow problems to own such a machine in the first place.

Otherwise, fine as you are I'd say.


That's why I'm umming and aahing, this set up seems to work great! The change would only be for further bling to be brutaly frank.

Had a look at the derailleur B screw setting, it's seems it's set up perfect for use with my 12-27 training cassette, rather than this 12-23, so rather than fiddle as it shifts poifick I'll leave it as it is...

yes, the smaller the largest sprocket the more horizontal you can get it and the slicker the shifting

That mech looks fine to me, especially with the massive jump you've got between chainwheels - it's got alot of chain length to soak up.

Well if you ever need some good advice about old school Im your man, so much better than the plastic flim flam you've just invest your hard earned in!


If I ever fancy a heavy, flexy, rust prone Gentleman's Velocipede to race on I'll give you a call... ;)
