Hi interested to hear from anyone who has a similar experience on what I can expect in way of reply. I ordered a set of Smart Lux 7 lights from Wiggle but when I opened the packaging today I saw only the front light was there. There is visible tampering on the packaging of the item (the external packaging box was immaculate) and I presume the rear light was stolen by someone, most likely at their warehouse. I attach a link to a photo on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/rliu/13175586715/
Just be interested to know if I will have any difficulty getting the item re-sent from Wiggle.

Yeah I've emailed them but just wanted to know what their general attitude is from anyone who had a similar thing. Some retailers can be pretty sneaky to deal with.

Just send Wiggle an email telling them what happened. There really isn't much point in speculating about what they might do or say. In my experience, they have always been pretty good when it comes to looking after their customers.

Good luck.

Edit: cross post.

I doubt it was stolen, the pickers in the warehouse are probably under time pressure and just get a location to pick from, threw it in the box without confirming it was all there. More than likely packing was damaged and the rear light is still sitting on the shelf in the warehouse.

Just contact wiggle and tell them its missing, don't accuse them of stealing as you really have no evidence it was stolen.

Don't be paranoid! Why on Earth would somebody working in a massive warehouse full of pocketable goodies steal one plastic light from your package?

Yeah I think it's just been missed , rare wiggle error. I have found their customer service superb over the last year in terms of asking question and and returning items

Human error at the packing stage, nothing more. One time I bought a couple of Schwalbe Marathons from another supplier, they sent one. Phoned them up, as it happened I spoke to the bloke who'd actually handled the order, he apologised, second tyre sent when they had them in stock. No harm done. The OP's situation is no different.

Had a similar issue with similar internet supplier (chain reaction). The box had a shimano cassette but the plastic bag had split along the bottom and some of the cogs and spacers had fallen out, before it was packaged. (unfortunately it was the 13, 14 and 15 cogs which are the ones i wear out first, so no use to even extend the life of a worn cassette.). I emailed them, only got an automated reply, so rang the next day (mentioning the email). No questions asked, new one sent. Twice! so got one from each contact.
I'd be suprised if your experience with Wiggle will be any different. They've been helpful when I've had to deal with them in the past over a seatpost.
