At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow , Bono asked the audience for total
quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once
every few seconds.

Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone,
"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

A voice with a broad Scottish accent from the front of the crowd pierced
the quiet... "Well, foockin stop doin it then, ya evil b*stard!"

I like U2's music, don't always agree with their preaching though.

Like some folk on here, they have an opinion, but if you disagree you're a total langer and are always wrong.

Depends if you believe that he is trying to improve things or alternatively trying to boost his profile by taking on a cause.

I think they're not necessarily mutually exclusive however I believe he is not very effective at the former.
