Its actually this year but obviously cannot do much for a while. Ms TF has offered a trip away of my choice, so thinking about Nice. With great scenery, lots of very very lumpy stuff with famous names painted on the road, good food etc it seems like the perfect cycling destination.
However we wouldn't want it to be 100% about cycling so accomodation, excursions and stuff like that are equally important.
It would be August for up to two weeks.
So fellow Cyclechatters, please offer your advice/recommendations for accomodation, climbs, food, places to visit etc etc :bicycle::sun::hungry:

Happy Birthday (whenever it is) Tim

We had a short break Ebbsfleet to Paris for my 60th. No bikes, but lots of walking.

In August, the whole of France is on holiday so high prices and need to book accommodation well in advance. Good luck, enjoy and happy birthday then.

Ye I take the point about Nice being busy and pricey. Any other similar suggestions?
Italy perhaps. Very early days... chewing the fat on it.
