It was in a school textbook that I found while moving. I know it's not correct. Not a Latin textbook, but a kid's poetry book c.1960

The thing is that with a couple of spelling corrections it's pretty good Latin. I think it dates from the 19th century, because it depends on a very old-fashioned and peculiarly English way of pronouncing the language.
