I live alone and see no point.

I'm exactly the same. I live alone and don't get visitors so never bother with Christmas decorations. I never even bothered to buy any.

I went for a walk the other night and saw Christmas lights still hanging from a house. I presume they just leave them up all year as they weren't that obvious. Unlike some I used to see in my window cleaning days, when they'd leave stuff like almost full scale reindeers and father Christmas's up on their roofs all year round. Mind you, I use a cup with Father Christmas on all year round and keep nice Christmas cards I've received up all year round as well.

I've played that live a few times and it was my job to shout "it's Christmas!" in the final bars. I managed a good Noddy impersonation, but those two words would shred my vocal chords so Lord only knows how he managed it song after song live.
