I'm going to see if the Gogs Farm Shop has some of their marrowbone burgers for tea tonight You've got to be careful not to overcook them...

They're lush - particularly with a slice of blue cheese on the top.

Anyone ever heard of Brett's Burgers, originally Oxford, but they had an outlet in Reading too? I knew the place on Cowley Rd as it was opposite school, but they had a shack near the station. opened very late 70s early 80s, and did the most awesome burgers on a flamegrill burner in the shop. When I go to France, I often order steak tartare. The waiter says "you know it's raw?" I assume this is because anglophones stare at the menu, see one word they recognise, and order it; then send it back to the kitchen angrily complaining "it's not cooked!"

Well I was 18 lost in the Aquitaine with only an AA Map of Europe and starving! Part of my problem is that say hello and ask for a table for the number of people in my party and I deliver it so expertly that they do not realise I am Pie & Mash Brit.
