On the plus side, I'm thick skinned and therefore don't give toss^_^
Just off topic, but from personal experience I find that thick skinned people have normally been bullied at school. So they just get acclimatized to insults.
I was bullied a lot in school. Didnt have many friends. And didnt really help myself (Autism in a mainstream school is difficult to live with). As a result, people can say anything to me or about my parents and I wont batter an eyelid. However, I know plenty of people who would go ballistic if you mentioned their mother.

Whether its good or bad to be thick skinned, we will never know but it is still an attribute in the correct circumstances.
The one thing that puzzles me about the horse riding fraternity; If they are so well aware of what it is like to be a vulnerable road user, why are they so uncaring around cyclist whilst towing a horse box behind a badly driven large 4x4 (often with a phone held to their ear). I have had some horribly close passes by them, and as for the ones with the converted small lorries, they should just be taken outside and shot, total menace on the roads
That sort of behaviour must be confined to Northumberland.

That's a demand not an observation.

I wasn't there so I don't know.
In the reports I've read, the horserider turned her horse around and rode it at the car forcing the car to reverse.
She has then caused damage to the car when it did overtake.
She has then pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
Some car drivers are knobs, some cyclists are knobs and some horse riders are knobs.

Maybe just a ******** of a magistrate.
On the other hand lodges, funny handshakes, odd rituals, squares and compasses might have a part to play.
She pleaded guilty, not a lot to do with his solicitor or the magistrate, maybe more to do with the actual facts?
I don't know, I wasn't there.

Cyclists who think that breaking car mirrors off and denting panels is justifiable justice should take note of the outcome of the car vs horse case.
