I disagree that women are disadvantaged etc...in my experience women have an equal crack of the chances in this world and actually in many cases more so than guys...seems to me thats a weakness of guys who allow themselves to be exploited by attractive women...anyway...thats a personal opinion. If we are going to ban a beer like this maybe we should also ban all the blatently sexist ads with 'hot hulks' being pertrayed as sex objects for women?? Diet pepsi window cleaner...or the levi laundrette ad....or a few of those 'fragrence for men' ads...etc??

Peronally I have no issue with any of it...I dont compare myself to any of those male sex object ads...and women should not do so for an ad like this beer thing. Like it or not attractive members of the opposite sex sell...its human nature ..our eyes are drawn to a fit body etc...well mine are anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if people are just to hung up on sex...feel insecure about their own bodies etc...lighten up...shape up...become top totty...become super hunk ..if it bothers you so much.

Besides ..if a guy is so dumb as to buy a beer jus tbecause it is called top totty..who is being taken advantage of?

(Putting on my tin hat and body armour)

... or even the ads that deliberately demean men like that one for a cold remedy that has 2 women talking in the street, obviously surffering, about the poor man who is laid up as he has a bit of a cold ... or others that portray men as hopeless around the house or shopping, etc ...

Ooof, you'll be needing the body armour!

There are loads of areas where women are disadvantaged (leaving aside the cretinous inequalities in most of the world's religions).
Just to give one example, they are hugely under-represented at senior level in our companies and financial institutions. And that makes a practical difference, because in general women have a different attitude to risk.

If I may get onto the soapbox that CoffeeJo has just vacated, the biggest leap forward we could produce in the developing world would be to guarantee education to 16 for any girl who wanted it.

The particular beer aside I think there should be issue made that there is a bar 'at work' for the people who run the country.

If any other important industry or business, that affects the majority of the population, were to have it's employees partaking of alcohol while engaged in important work there would be concerns raised.

If I were to have an alcoholic drink while at work, or during a break I would be sacked.

The Belgians have the right idea; when parliament is in session, it’s free beer at the bar for reporters.
