That's an old photo, it's been resurfaced and had some bollards put in now. That bank does have a tendency to collapse and spew rocks into the road after heavy rain though.

I rode it last August and parts of it were a nightmare! Think I remember that bit - we said at the time that having the peloton on that road would be a tad dodgy

Can't see why they didn't just continue down A616 Stocksbridge bypass and onto the A61 Halifax Rd, would have been better for the riders and spectators.

Heavy rain is forecast for Saturday so roads will be wet Sunday.

Road down there a couple of weeks ago, It's been resurfaced, but there is still a stream running across the tarmac just on the apex of that bend.

Despite my warning at the top of the hill @Steve H still managed to overcook it and end up in the woods
