Got absolutely soaked again yesterday evening 
. The roads were a river. As I went out it was only spitting but 2.5 miles in the skies must have opened, couldn't see as it was dark, and the deluge began. Next time I'll wear the wetsuit and flippers or launchthe Ark 
.Had treated my bike to a clean, polish and full re-lube as well. Still it went well. Now just as dirty as it was before ................ such is life on a bike.
It was a double whammy as the wind was firmly in my face as well. Even the MT500 over shoes started to let in water despite pedalling for 15 miles with my toes pointing directly down to let the water flow off. My calves ache now as well. Rung out my mits when I got to destination. They were as wet as if they had been submerged in a bucket of water! Leggings absolutely soaked through.
The dykes are well swollen around here. More rain forecast
. Maybe I take the car next time.
When I left work last night it was tipping it down and continued for the whole commute home. Some of the roads were like rivers. I though shall I just get straight home or add a few miles.. this is mad I though to myself, I am soaked through but not cold, so bugger it.. on with a few extra miles... I got home and would you believe it, the bleedin' rain decided to stop.. typical.

Plus it's just started to rain.

Im out tommorow for the start of another 7 day commute stint.Only one more 7 day after that before the new year.
