Yeah nice bloke Stu. Doesn't race anymore but still turns up to watch from time to time.Neil will know Stu Johnson also - I worked with Stu about 25 years ago - he organised loads of CX stuff (you'll know him as well Dan).

It would be fun & games on Heath Common now dodging the travellers ponies.It used to be the same, when Calder Clarion (one of the local Clubs, & Barry Hobans Club, when he was home, from Europe) held CXs

They used Heath Common, essentially that; Common land to the east of Wakefield, where it was a mixture of soil/sand/hillocks, as there used to be a Golf Course on the Common
(Heath village is a 'Conservation VIllage', as almost every house is Listed!)
