Ouch. My left achilles tendon (which I very nearly strained several years back) is twinging in sympathy, @Justiffa ! 
I hope your recovery is swift and relatively pain-free. I don't know how I'd handle months off the bike. Hopefully in as few months as possible, you'll be on the bike, and this happy:
