WOW, tonight's commute was a bloody good 'un.

Temp on the right side of warm (well above freezing anyway). It's amazing how quick I warmed up and managed 7.5 miles in 24 mins.

Let's hope it stays like this and I can get some decent miles in on my days off in the sunshine.

Anybody else have a good commute today ?

Was a warmish morning here, but overcast and started drizzling when I was on the last 1/2 mile. Hopefully itll clear up for the ride home. I had a lovely ride on Saturday though in the sun, even took the jacket off

I rode today for the first time this year in just over the knee shorts and fingerless gloves*. Even had to stop and take my outer shell off half way. Am sooooooo glad the weather is warming up, makes getting on the bike in the morning a much more pleasant prospect!

*and other kit on me top half. Obviously. But that hasn't changed since winter

My fingerless gloves were on for the first time this morning. Roll on the summer.....we will get one won't we?:biggrin:

I'm not brave enough for shorts yet - maybe if it stays like this for a week or two - I don't like cycling with cold knees!!

Can't wait for warmer weather though - I hate constantly getting changed in and out of my winter tights for the gym and such like!!

There is definately a hint of spring in the air though and what with that and the lighter evenings I feel positively optimistic!!!!:tired:

It seems that whenever the weather is good I end up on the train and seem to reserve cycling for the windy and wet days. Take this morning. I'm up early and feeling fresh, weather's lovely, but I'm interviewing all day and need to wear my suit. The risk of crumpleage is too high so end up on the train. Grrrrr

shorts and ss top and no overshoes today, with winter gloves and a gillet as a sop to my conservative nature but it was lovely and would have been fine in mitts and no gillet i think although it did get a bit chillier i shadows

and I had an eye on the evening, beautiful weather though, the guinea pigs are out on the lawn for the second day running (no, that's not code)

Not shorts weather for me yet, but legwarmers instead of tights. Goodcommute this morning, 17 miles by one of my longer routes through the lanes (and late for work because of it too).
