A few years ago a colleague and myself were on a course at KCL and had to walk back to our hotels past the TV studios

One night we were offered tickets to the filming of a live show where would be politicians gave their views and were voted on

Following day the rumour mill was rife as we had been "seen" in the audience together....

Had great fun winding up some of the more outrageous gossip mongers

Yes, I am aware of that but when the presenter says things like ; " see you in a couple of minutes" do they just say: "Welcome back" right away and carry on with the show? I am just curious to know.
Pretty much. I was once in the studio audience for Going for Gold. Each 25 minute episode took about an hour to record, and they did three episodes a day. They even had a warm up man keeping us 'entertained' whilst the crew re-jigged the set for the various rounds.

I appeared on 15 to 1 back in 1995. The filming took ages as William G Stewart had to reposition himself s he progressed through the semi circle of contestants. We even had to look at a blank wall pretending to look at the scoreboard.
