Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
It is there for people who are giving up as well not just for those who have given up. Moral support. So intstead of just taking the mick why not be quiet if you don't know anything about it.

Hi. It's called smoking.................no more. It's easy to find. Anyone is welcome. We give each other moral support. Come along anytime

that's not what you posted earlier - you said it was for ex smokers. As in people who used to smoke, and who now do not. I can see the point in a thread for moral support. And it's easy anyway.

Anyone who has stopped can call themselves ex smokers. And maybe it is easy for some, but for many it isn't.

Why would I want to be reminded of something that I don't want to do anymore?

It's game over for me.

It may not be for everyone, but some people may eed moral support. If you don't then great, fair play to you. And good luck. It is only a suggestion.

Any tips for non-smoking parents of a smoker to quit ? (hope that makes sense)
Sons been working away for several years, but now living at home. Any suggestions we make are met with indifference...

I'd no more dream of preaching to my son about smoking that I'd have him preach to me about pie eating. The smoke has got to want to quit. Nagging leads to entrenchment.

If it bugs you that much evict him.

Just a pragmatic answer.
