A friend sent me a link to an article which had nineteen recipes for pies that were better than cake.

I excitedly clicked on the link and found that it was an American article and the pies were those sweet abominations which are mostly sweet flans and 'quiches'.

Less. Those abominations in dishes with puff pastry lids are just a stew with a very messy covering that gets everywhere and is not nice to eat - usually overcooked.
