One time I felt really sorry for someone, but was also amazed at his stupidity, scared on his behalf for whatever awaited him at home, had a shade of schadenfreude, and found it funny all at the same time, was about 5.15 one Christmas Eve, shops all shutting down, people merrily wending their way home to partake in Yuletide festivities, and a very drunk bloke shambles up to me and slurs: "D'you know where I can get a turkey? I was s'posed to get a feckin' turkey, and I went to the feckin' pub". "I think all the shops are pretty much shut now", I offered. "A szzfecker szfacker szfeckin feck... d'you fancy a pint?"
