I've decided to quit..........

............playing for England. Although not of English blood and never having played for nor having been called up by Fabio. I suspected that, at 48, in peak form, having knocked in 2 goals in the Nab Wood Sports Centre veteran's league last Wed evening, that the call was coming. To avoid any misunderstanding and to save the FA and/or Mr Capello from any embarassment I am now making myself unavailable for future squad selection.

I have decided to quit supporting England until they start picking players that think that playing for their COUNTRY is more important than playing for their club.

I would give anything to play for England infront of 80000 fans, yet the likes of Blooney, Frampard, Sherry and co don't want to give 100% in case they get injured and can't blagg 150k per week from their club.

I think the England squad should be populated with players from the Championship or 1st division... at least they would want to put some effort in.
Or maybe only allow players with <£20k per week salaries.

He was going to call me up last week but then he realised I wasn't eligible; I just wonder why he hasn't passed my details on to Mr Levein

I declined the chance to play cricket for Sweden as I thought it would jeopardise my chances of playing for England!

Also I would have had to pay for the Swedish tour to Ireland out of my own pocket!

A company I deal with is taking me to see England tomorrow - I think they're doing it as a punishment to get me to stop using them
