I beg to differ. Overtaking a stationary artic at a junction? You wouldn't possibly have a clear view of the junction. T'would be very silly.

You wouldn't need to have a clear view of the junction as you wouldn't be going that far - you'd be stopping before the junction.

So where would you go if you got half way up the side of the artic and a car came round the corner, which you couldn't have seen because the truck was in the way?

he'd have to give way, if there wasn't room for both to pass. Same as if you were overtaking a parked lorry and a car came round a corner or out of a drive.
